The R2EC is an EtherCAT bus coupler developed by Leadshine to connect modular PM-series I/O modules to an EtherCAT-based control system. It serves as the communication gateway between a host EtherCAT master (e.g., PLC, motion controller, or IPC) and the stackable local I/O modules.

The R2EC coupler ensures high-speed, deterministic communication while supporting a wide range of I/O modules in a compact and modular format. It’s designed for use in demanding automation and motion control environments.
