R2EC to sprzęgacz magistrali EtherCAT opracowany przez firmę Leadshine, przeznaczony do łączenia modułowych wejść/wyjść serii PM z systemem sterowania opartym na EtherCAT. Urządzenie pełni funkcję bramy komunikacyjnej pomiędzy głównym sterownikiem EtherCAT (np. PLC, kontrolerem ruchu lub komputerem przemysłowym) a podłączonymi lokalnie modułami I/O.

Sprzęgacz R2EC zapewnia szybką, deterministyczną komunikację, obsługując szeroką gamę modułów I/O w kompaktowym i modułowym formacie. Został zaprojektowany z myślą o wymagających środowiskach automatyki i sterowania ruchem.
